Hiya guys, I'm at a total loss on where to play. I have a $6K bankroll built up from playing 25 cent FPDW for a year (reached President status at Stations playing almost exclusively FPDW).
My bankroll isn't big enough to grind $1 VP, which will be my next milestone with AP. Every now and again, I'll take a shot at $1 NSU or Triple Bonus Plus on a promotion, but usually my ass gets walloped (like last night). One time I did hit 4 Aces playing Triple Bonus Plus, which was awesome. That is beside the point though.
My question is, is there anything out there at the 25c/50c level that can rival quarter FPDW? FPDW is one of the best options out there for a low-roller looking to build their bankroll, but ugh. I've spent more hours sitting on a FPDW machine than doing anything else in a casino, combined!!!! I went through a stint where I played FPDW on average, 20 hours a week on top of my full time job to build a bankroll. It was pretty sweet sometimes. I had a run where I hit 2 Royals and four deuces like 6 times in a week.
But after sitting at a crappy Station joint playing it for 200+ hours, I am beyond burnt out on FPDW. I'd rather work more hours at my regular job then play this game. And don't get me wrong, I adored this game in the beginning. Can anybody point me in the right direction to a play with similar +EV on quarters? I'll even take slightly less +EV just for the sake of freshening things up.

Skyline has a ten coin FPDW, so its $2.50 a hand. Emerald Island has some interesting VP games, at the penny, two cent and five cent level, but you can play 100 coin a hand. Best game, I think, is NSUDs
I was under the impression Stations penalized people for playing their full pay machines. How'd you get President status?

Their tier credits are strictly coin-in from what I know. Not affected by point multipliers or anything, so 500 coin in on 100% Video Poker is the same as 500 coin in on 7/5 JOB.
I'm president status but I don't get damn near anything for mail outside the slot-club wide offers. I get $5 free play like once a week, and some 1/2 off buffet coupons. That's about it.
Do you get anything worthwhile from Emerald Island though? I'm not really looking for comps, just free play and/point multipliers. Last I checked the 9/6 JOB and NSU machines aren't eligible for point multipliers or other promotions.
I've done the two-machine trick at skyline, because their machines are so slow. It's still a drag though. The ubiquitous Southpoint is great on their promotional days.

Emerald Island gives crazy multipliers but no cash back. Comps only, although you can use them in a couple dozen places for car detailing, pizza, movies and the like.
Tuesdays, play $700 coin in, get $10 cash. You can do that twice. Thursday, $1500 gets you a wheel spin- most likely result is $10, but you spin it, its not weighted.
Last month they did $1,000 coin in any other day got you $10 cash, once a day.
Any single line machine is eligible, as far as I know. It's only the multihand All Star and Ultimate X that don't get multiple points. I like the bar, and I like getting two free meals a week., more times than not, three.

What stations do you play at?
Grats to you on building a BR on FPDW. I'm at over 300k hands w/o a royal and over $7k down with stations. I'm damn close to broke now and very stressed over it.
As far as your question goes, as far as I know 25c fpdw is still better than $1 DB or DDB. Just doing the simple math.
I'm all for taking an occasional shot in hopes of a bigger win. Heck I did it 2 weeks ago. After losing $100 in very short order on fpdw I tossed a hundo in on a shot at FP DB and popped Aces for $800, then switched back to .25c fpdw and lost another hundo and left. Tried it again a cpl days ago to no good result.

Tough break man. I know what you mean though with taking shots. Last 6x point day I played $1 Triple Bonus Plus (99.8%) and got a brick to the face and lost just shy of $1k.
